Nicolaus

He was one of the seven reputable men chosen by the Twelve Apostles, to handle the daily distribution to the community's widows. This was done to relieve the duties of the Twelve, and give them more time to preach the Word of God. Nicolaus was called "a proselyte of Antioch", which means he was a Gentile who had converted to Judaism before becoming a Christian (Acts 6:1-5).

Nicolaus means "conqueror of the people"
