Please pray for Ala'a Eddeen and his new father, Scott Southworth

Ala'a, who is from Iraq, has cerebral palsy and was abandoned in the streets of Baghdad when he was 3-years old. Scott is the hero who overcame tremendous obstacles to adopt this inspiring young child and bring him to the United States. Click here for an article about them in the MSNBC Web site. The story of Ala'a and Scott is one of love, sacrifice and perserverance. It is a perfect Christmas story.


Google maps of Paul's mission journeys

During the past two months, we've been building and publishing interactive Google maps showing each of Paul's four journeys that are described in the Bible's book of Acts. Today, though, we've completed the process of re-editing, re-checking, and refining each of the four maps. We hope that the maps are useful for people who want to learn more about Paul, who lived about 2000 years ago and saw the resurrected Jesus Christ, and his travels to tell other people about Jesus Christ. A newspaper in Arizona recently published an article on its Web site about a young girl named Amber, who is suffering from leukemia and has been living in a hospital for many months. Amber suffered an infection and doctors had to remove one of her eyes, as well as parts of her sinuses and palate. Her Mom and her sisters have been living in the hospital room with her, to comfort her, to cheer her up, and to be a family for her. ... Please pray Amber and her family. ... Read more

In the United States, especially within the state of Nevada, a painful drama has been unfolding, one that is tragically worthy of a prayer request. Police officers acquired a videotape that showed a young girl, who appears to be about 3 years old, being sexually assaulted by an adult. Television news stations showed portions of the video, in the hopes that a viewer could identify the victim or the attacker and provide helpful information to the police. It worked. ... Read more
